Job Title – Quality Assurance Tester

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Tester will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions for public sector projects. This role involves conducting manual and automated testing, collaborating with developers and product teams, and ensuring our solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of QA best practices and is passionate about identifying and resolving software issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning & Documentation

• Develop and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Participate in the analysis of user stories and requirements to ensure clarity and testability.

2. Manual & Automated Testing

• Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing on web and mobile applications.
• Execute test scripts and review results, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
• Support the development of automated test scripts and frameworks to optimize testing efficiency.

3. Defect Management

• Identify, log, and track software bugs and issues using Jira or similar tracking tool.
• Collaborate with developers to understand and resolve issues efficiently, verifying fixes
• and conducting regression tests.

4. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the development, product management, and project teams to provide clear feedback on functionality, performance, and usability.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, providing insights into QA progress and obstacles.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Support ongoing process improvements for testing workflows, documentation, and automation practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest QA tools, technologies, and industry trends.

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years in quality assurance or software testing, with a focus on manual and automation testing in a software development environment.
• Proficiency in test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Test Rail).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, such as Appium, Selenium, or Espresso, for mobile app testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Exposure to performance and security testing
• ISTQB or other relevant certification is a plus
