Job Title: Accountant (Must have Pharmaceutical Experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of accounting experience and will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Generate profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Provide variance analysis and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payments to vendors.
• Tax Preparation and Compliance:
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Inventory and Cost Control:
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct cost analysis to optimize resource allocation.
• Work closely with the procurement team to manage inventory costs effectively.
• Internal Controls and Auditing:
• Establish and maintain robust internal control systems.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and address audit findings promptly.
• Financial Planning and Strategy:
• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies.
• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Education and Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN certification (or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or other ERP systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Analytical Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven recommendations.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Industry Knowledge:
• In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
