We are a collaborative unit and work closely with a highly skilled team of nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialists and allied health professionals from other medical disciplines.
CRCHS has accreditation for medical oncology training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In addition to accredited medical oncology registrar training posts, we have trainees in radiation oncology, haematology and palliative care.
Systemic anti-cancer therapies are supervised by teams of medical oncologists enabled by a team of CNS. SACT infusions are delivered in our 11-chair chemotherapy day ward and lower risk infusions are delivered at our secondary site at Burwood hospital. Inpatient care is provided by a RMO team lead by the Medical Oncologists on call on a weekly basis.
