The purpose of the role is overall staff management and management of the process for obtaining all the revenue that Health New Zealand is entitled to from ACC including;

• recovering the cost for the treatment of non-resident and ineligible patients.
• responsibility for managing the consolidation of the ACC and Non-Resident Eligibility systems, staffing and processes into a single national service.
• providing leadership and governance in optimising our systems and processes, as well as strategic and commercial decisionmaking and financial analysis in relating to ACC and non-resident and in-eligible patient revenue.

About you
You will bring a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least five years operating at a senior management level. You'll have a strong background in staff management, enterprise management, financial oversight, and risk management expertise.
You've successfully managed and led teams to achieve strategic objectives and have the ability to set clear goals, inspire and motivate teams, and adapt plans to align with shifting organisational priorities.
You will bring

• Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
• Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
• A fresh mindset aimed at operational excellence and commercial opportunities.
