The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
  • Providing product and application support for ZEISS ophthalmology products.
  • Delivering presentations, training sessions at client sites, and product demonstrations during conferences, workshops or at ZEISS demo facilities.
  • Assisting in finding the right solutions for customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting the sales team, collaborating with marketing colleagues and working with our Field Service Engineers to provide solutions for clients in case of malfunctions or repairs.
  • Remaining up-to-date with the latest market trends and communicating these to other colleagues (Product Management, R&D) at ZEISS headquarters in Germany.

Required knowledge & experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Optometry, a technical or product-related field, or has equivalent experience.
  • A background in a clinical setting within ophthalmology, for example as an optometrist, technical ophthalmic assistant, or operating room assistant. Alternatively, experience in ophthalmology in a similar role within the medical device industry.
  • Some experience in delivering training and working in an operating room.
  • Can work independently, is creative, able to think process-wise, and can provide total solutions for our customers.
  • Can handle responsibilities and work under pressure when necessary. We expect you to be stress-resistant.
  • Speaks both Dutch and English to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license (B) as the role involves frequent travel to customer locations.
  • Preferably residing in the Central/Northern Netherlands region.
