We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a background in biomedical sciences, epidemiology, econometry or related domain. You will become part of an enthusiastic team of dedicated researchers, clinicians and support personnel. We are embedded in a stimulating department including people with mixed backgrounds (medicine, psychology, epidemiology) in an institute with excellent supporting facilities. The candidate should have extensive experience with case-control studies, sophisticated statistical analyses (preferably with R) and should have a great interest in patient-oriented research. Medical knowledge is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a capacity to work in autonomy are essential.

Take note; fluency in spoken and written Dutch is required, because the registry data are only available in Dutch.

Your tasks will be:

• Analysing a large dataset (>120.000 cases matched with controls) consisting of data from the Netherlands Cancer Registry, Statistics Netherlands, Dutch Hospital Database, VEKTIS;
• Reporting outcomes in scientific journals and presenting at conferences;
• Informing and supporting the development of guidelines for follow-up care for AYAs;
• Supporting group leaders in writing related grant applications.

The Postdoc will be employed in the research group of Olga Husson Ph D. We offer a contract for 1 year of 0.8-1.0 fte with the option to extend it. The gross salary per month will range from €4540,- to € 5084,- according to salary scale FWG group 55 and depends on previous experience. The terms of employment will be in accordance with the (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals).
