Legal Counsel
(full time, permanent)

Direct Manager: General Counsel
Job location: Made, the Netherlands

Work interfaces:
Internal: all company divisions, subsidiaries abroad.
External: legal advisors, authorities, negotiating parties.

Responsibilities:

• Providing ongoing legal advice on various matters to the different Company units
  
• Drafting of contracts and other legal documents – both in Dutch and in English (e.g. distribution contracts, collaborations, licensing, sale/purchase agreements)
  
• Providing legal support in relation to the company's projects and activities
  
• Supervising court proceedings, handling regulatory and intellectual property issues
  
• Negotiating agreements with external parties
  
• Taking part as Legal Counsel in steering committees and project teams in various fields of activity.
  

Candidate profile:

• 4+ years of experience in a Legal Department or in a law firm practicing business, commercial and corporate laws.
  
• Experience as an attorney with diverse international activity would be a significant advantage.
  
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulations.
  
• Having a broad perspective and being able to manage complex cases and situations.
  
• Proactive, with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  
• Experience in contract management and legal compliance (able to draft and review contracts/legal documents in English – compulsory)
  
• Proficiency in Dutch and English language.
  
• Dedicated, committed and having problem-solving skills.
  
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Admitted by the Dutch Bar.
  

• This position requires business travels (about 3 trips abroad/year)
• An assessment will be a part of the recruitment process.
