Head of Relationship & Transaction Management - Trade Finance Advisory & Services Commodity Clients

TF Advisory & Services builds and maintains an excellent relationship with corporate clients by providing advisory proactively and best in class service. TF Advisory & Services is responsible for the front-to-back transaction flows, controlling asset flows and risks and executing on transaction monitoring. Whilst doing so, the teams are responsible for maintaining regular client contacts and creating and monitoring client satisfaction. There is a close cooperation with TF & CTF Structuring who provide (tailor-made) solutions across the trade finance value chain which includes pitching for complex facility agreements and responding to RFPs.

The TF Advisory & Services Commodity Clients team is dedicated to commodity trading companies, delivering bespoke service levels and advisory.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with TF & CTF Structuring Heads and the Head of TF Advisory & Services Benelux to draft annual strategic and commercial plans for Trade Netherlands, covering multiple countries, segments, and products.
  
• Sets ambitious team goals with the Head of TF Advisory & Services Benelux, aligning with CB Trade Finance Flow's annual goals and KPIs, and is accountable for team performance.
  
• Leads a team of 9, each managing a dedicated client portfolio within TF A&S Netherlands.
  
• Drives changes in Advisory & Services to enhance team knowledge, client-centricity, and adaptability to market and regulatory shifts.
  
• Balances excellent client services and advisory to safeguard and grow TF NL's revenue.
  
• Works with RTM NL management to ensure team success and maintain regional and global reputation.
  
• Manages stakeholder relationships with key internal partners like Trade centers in Germany, Delivery Hub India, CRM, AFC, Finance, Product Management, and Group Audit.
  
• Collaborates with TFFI, AFC, and Compliance to prudently grow the TF flow and ABF portfolio.
  
• Acts as a liaison for TF Product Management to drive and implement innovation.
  
• Makes reliable, transparent decisions, including saying 'no' when necessary.
  
• Maintains a Control Framework with Oversight and Control Team OCO and TF-Process Management, ensuring adherence to Safety & Soundness.
  
• Independently resolves complex financial, operational, or regulatory issues.
  
• Monitors and reports on team KPIs to guide performance and inform stakeholders.
  
• Acts as a role model, promoting Values & Beliefs in Client Focus, Innovation, Discipline, and Teamwork.
  
• Contributes to the TF and RTM Academy plan for ongoing team training and coaching.
  
• Focuses on team building, employee satisfaction, talent development, and recognizing high performance and innovation.
  

Skills, knowledge, working experience:

• Good understanding of Trade Finance solutions and able to guide the teams to use these towards clients
  
• Client focus and ability to manage client relationships
  
• Excellent analytic skills and risk awareness
  
• Open to new challenges, high degree of perseverance, willing to succeed and resilient
  
• Pro-active attitude and can-do mentality, driving innovation and change
  
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
  
• Leadership experience & able to vary in leadership styles and people management skills
  
• Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of at least one other foreign language is an advantage
  
• Good Microsoft Office skills; Word, Excel and Power Point
  

Education level:

• Highest level of schooling, specific training requirements, certification, etc.
  
• Bachelor and/or Master degree preferably in the field of Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics or International law
  
• 8+ years relevant experience within the financial sector, preferably within trade finance
