Full Stack Developer | We Positive.Energy | Building Energy Positive Communities Across Europe

We are building an innovative platform that will make sharing energy between European homes intuitive. Furthermore, we develop a Community Energy Management platform to ensure heatpumps, EVs and home batteries use renewable energy locally when it is available.
Your Mission As our Full Stack Developer, you will play a critical role in bringing our product to life. You will be working closely with the company’s founders, to design and develop scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. This platform will enhance the way communities generate, store, and share sustainable energy, right down to the capillaries of the electricity network.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a robust and scalable web application for energy optimization, managing everything from backend services to frontend user experiences.
• Collaborate with partners to facilitate their connection to our platform.
• Translate fat-marker sketches into visually appealing user interfaces.
• Work with a cross-functional team and our partners to integrate various smart devices, including EV chargers, heat pumps, and home batteries.
• Ensure high performance and availability of our platform by optimizing database queries and server performance.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to achieve our mission of empowering European energy communities.

Who You Are:

• Problem-Solver: You enjoy the challenge of creating complex, reliable systems in a startup environment. You like to apply your experience and skills to fill in the many unknowns, common to the dynamic nature of a startup.
• Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in full stack development, with a solid understanding of both frontend and backend technologies. Experience in the smart energy sector or Io T is a plus.
• Tech Skills:
• Proficiency in Java Script/Typescript front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue), Node.js
• Experience with RESTful back-end APIs developed in Python (Fast API) or Ruby (Ruby on Rails)
• Experience with modular micro-service or event driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS is a pre) and database management (SQL or No SQL)
• You develop clean and well tested code, using CI/CD (github or bitbucket) and test-driven development practices.
• Product focused: You can put yourself in the shoes of our users and partners and are able to translate their requirements into code.
• Passionate About Sustainability: You believe in renewable energy and are excited to contribute to a greener future.
• Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented setting and are comfortable working closely with external partners.
