Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Expert level knowledge of:
- microwave and signal processing;
- UAS systems, in particular radiofrequency communication protocols;
- C-UAS technologies including:
- Direction Finding technologies (e.g. phase array antenna, time difference of arrival etc.);
- Radar technologies (e.g. pulse Doppler, FMCW, etc.);
- EO/IR technologies;
- Cyber effectors;
- Nationally recognized/certified university qualification on electrical engineering or computer science / programming;
- Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 3 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
- Developing technical requirements for C-UAS acquisition projects;
- Prototyping and evaluating C-UAS technologies;
- Supporting multidisciplinary teams and technical and operational stakeholders.
