For the 2024-2025 academic year, the Lycée Français Guy de Maupassant is looking to hire a PE teacher for middle school who is interested in working in a dynamic and innovative school.

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced PE (Physical Education) teacher to join our dynamic team. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive physical education programs to middle school students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines, focusing on the specific needs of middle school students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Teach a variety of sports and physical activities, ensuring students develop fundamental movement skills, coordination, and physical fitness.
- Promote a healthy and active lifestyle, educating students about the importance of exercise, nutrition, and overall well-being.
- Assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and supporting individual development.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including intra and inter-school competitions, as well as field trips.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PE concepts and skills into other subject areas, fostering cross-curricular connections.
- Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about students' progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field. A teaching certification or qualification is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as a PE Teacher, preferably in a middle school setting.
- Excellent knowledge of different sports, physical activities, and fitness training methods suitable for middle school students.
- Familiarity with the French educational system and/or international curriculum frameworks is a real plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine passion for promoting physical fitness and well-being among young learners.
