We are looking for an serious and dynamic CUSTOMS MANAGER located in Morocco, Tetuan, reporting to Finance Director Africa.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the Tax Manager Northern & Western Africa you will be working closely with the Manufacturing and Finance functions Tetuan Factory, leading the Customs related activities for the Tetuan factory and broader in Morocco.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Implementation of the Customs strategy, in line with the company's policies & procedures,

• Management of the Customs compliance to ensure continuous compliance with local customs regulations.

• Management of Customs related risks and implement measures to mitigate those.

• Handling customs audits and be the first point of contact for local customs authorities.

You as Customs Manager will be the official JTI contact for the local Customs authorities, representing JTI for Customs at national authorities and monitoring current and impending changes to customs regulations and perform an assessment of the impact to JTI.

EDUCATION

University degree or equivalent. Local Tax accreditation, Master degree in customs or Degrees in Customs.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar position in the industry (multi-national FMCG organization) or in Big 4 tax advisory firms or equivalent, with in-depth knowledge of local customs regulations and excise legislation.

SKILLS

• Excellent English, French and Arabic.
• Skilled in financial applications (SAP) is a plus.
• Excellent MS Office tools (Excel).
• Ability to establish contacts, existing network within customs and governmental organizations is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
