Job responsibilities
§ Ensure health and safety of children within the school at all times.
§ Liaise with parents regarding medical concerns occurred within school premises.
§ Circulate information regarding child medical needs to teachers.
§ Carry out health checks (head-lies, eye check, etc.).
§ Attend to children’s health and safety concerns and issues at all time.
§ Collect, note and file student medical certificates regarding absences.
§ Advise the branch management for children going on medical leaves.
§ Carry out risk assessment for children for any medical & health needs.
§ Prepare and monitor list of students with allergies and medical conditions to circulate forwards to branch management.
§ Prepare first aid-kit and ensure that all pertinent materials are complete.
§ Prepare written report in cases of serious injuries.
§ Support evacuation & fire-drill procedures (playing part with the branch team).
§ Prepare a “care plan” & communicate with staff & parents.
§ Coordinate with the Academic Administrator, Secretary, Social Worker and Principal when incidents that concern children occur.
§ Monitor health & safety of the school community especially cleanliness, hygiene.
§ Ensure that the fingernails of children are cut properly with parental approval.
§ Responds immediately towards incidents/accidents where medical care and attention is required using emergency plan available.
Skills, experience and qualifications
§ Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
§ Certification as required by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.
§ 3 years nursing experience in a hospital.
§ Ministry of Health Nursing Licence.
§ Experience of nursing with children.
§ Strong administrative and organisational skills.
§ Desire to work with children.

Pay: KD300.000 - KD400.000 per month
