Software Development Engineer (Mid-level)


Does the opportunity to work for one of Ireland's most innovative product companies in the Insur Tech space sound appealing? We are looking for a talented developer to join our development team in Dublin for work on our flagship product which serves many established global insurance giants in one of the most complex, competitive & fast-moving industries today.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in C# .NET core, SQL server, ASP.NET MVC and Git. A basic understanding of TDD, unit testing frameworks & RESTful API's are desired.

Responsibilities in this position:

  • Write clean, maintainable code while developing the ability to handle tasks independently.
  • Collaborate with team members on development projects and participate in code reviews.
  • Follow and maintain QA procedures including unit testing and documentation.
  • Develop new features within the application.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and team discussions.
  • Learn and apply best practices for software development and testing.


Key skills:

  • 3+ years experience working with Microsoft development stack in a commercial setting - C# & .NET core, ASP.NET MVC, SQL & T-SQL.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles.
  • Exposure to TDD & development testing frameworks - NUnit, x Unit.
  • Experience with RESTful API's & Open API.
  • Familiarity with public cloud services (Azure/ AWS) & Iaa S/ Paa S concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile/ Scrum environments.
