The role
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our global team. In this role, you will report directly to the Product Manager and be responsible for maximizing the business value of the solution created by the development team for our Recycling customers.
You will play a critical role in driving our product market fit goals, ensuring that the solution meets customer needs, achieves business objectives, and delivers value to stakeholders. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product team. Regularly review and reflect on processes, practices, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
This can be a remote working role anywhere in Ireland with occasional visits to our HQ in Limerick and occasional international travel.
What will you be doing?
Your work will entail:
- Managing a product backlog of features and writing user stories, capturing the "who," "what," and "why" of a feature or requirement.
- Prioritising development effort based on delivered customer value which align with overall business strategy, product goals, objectives, and roadmap.
- Defining acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure that the development team understands what constitutes a complete and satisfactory implementation.
- Working closely with the development team to plan and execute iterative development cycles (sprints).
- Reviewing and providing feedback on the development team’s deliverables, ensuring that they meet the business requirements acceptance criteria.
About You

At least 5 years of experience in product management, building and delivering products, and services in a Saa S technology environment.

Demonstrate experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and stakeholders.

Have an ability to influence and persuade, build consensus, drive, and energize teams.

Are self-directed, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and understand the ambiguity of complex software products.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including customers, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in an equivalent. Master's Degree preferred.

Prior experience in the material recycling industry and or related areas such as inventory management, logistics a distinct advantage.
