Aunty Lena's, is currently recruiting wait staff to join our team! We are looking for part-time flexible staff. The role will be mostly mid week, 3 shifts a week, but may include some weekend days.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience waiting tables.
• Flexibility to work weekends.
• Fluent English.
• Reference essential.
• Must have worked in Ireland in a similar role previously
• Live local or own transport.

Duties:
1. Greeting and Seating Guests

• Welcoming customers as they arrive and guiding them to their table.
• Providing menus and explaining daily specials or promotions.

2. Taking Orders

• Accurately taking food and drink orders from customers.
• Recommending menu items and answering any questions about the dishes or drinks.

3. Serving Food and Drinks

• Delivering orders promptly and ensuring everything is served as requested.
• Monitoring tables to ensure guests have everything they need, such as refills or additional items.

4. Handling Payments

• Presenting the bill, processing payments (cash, card, or contactless), and ensuring correct change is given.
• Providing receipts and thanking customers for their visit.

5. Ensuring Customer Satisfaction

• Regularly checking on tables to ensure guests are enjoying their meals.
• Addressing any complaints or special requests in a professional and courteous manner.

6. Clearing Tables

• Removing used plates, glasses, and utensils once customers are finished.
• Preparing tables for the next customers by cleaning and resetting them.

7. Maintaining Cleanliness

• Ensuring the dining area is clean and presentable at all times.
• Assisting with any spills, messes, or general upkeep during shifts.

8. Assisting with Set-Up and Close-Down

• Helping to set up the dining area before service, including arranging tables, chairs, and condiments.
• Assisting in closing tasks, such as cleaning the dining area and ensuring everything is ready for the next shift.

9. Collaborating with Kitchen and Bar Staff

• Communicating with the kitchen to relay orders, special dietary requests, or complaints.
• Coordinating with the bar staff to ensure drinks are served promptly and correctly.

10. Handling Special Requests

• Managing customer requests for specific seating arrangements or dietary preferences.
• Handling special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries by organizing cakes, songs, or decorations when necessary.

11. Upselling and Promotions

• Suggesting additional menu items, desserts, or drinks to enhance the customer’s dining experience.
• Informing guests about special deals, offers, or upcoming events.

12. Complying with Health and Safety Standards

• Following hygiene, food safety, and alcohol-serving regulations.
• Ensuring that all health and safety protocols are followed, such as proper food handling and allergen awareness.
