Role overview
Maintenance Technician will be responsible for everyday upkeep and maintenance of a high-speed automated Ice factory. This will include regular and planned maintenance, unplanned maintenance on all equipment including facilities. Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
Day-to-Day
· Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean working environment and carrying out work in a safe manner.
· Troubleshoot, diagnostics and repair of packaging and production equipment.
· Perform root causes analysis of problems and suggest process improvements.
· Carry out Preventative Maintenance work as required by PM schedules and suggest improvements.
· Ensure that all breakdowns are documented and recorded in our system.
· Maintain systems for spare parts stock and ensure system is being correctly utilised.
· Flexible working hours to meet production or maintenance deadlines; make yourself available for overtime as and when required.
· Liaise with all departments on site.
· Continuous improvement of production process equipment.
· Work independently, use own initiative, and work as part of a team when required.
Requirements
· Must have minimum 3 years previous experience working in a food/beverage manufacturing facility.
· Diploma/ trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
· Must have a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background.
· A sound knowledge of refrigeration equipment is advantageous.
· Experience with conveyors and line production a key advantage.
· Experience in large installation projects.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Must be self-motivated and be able to show a proven performance record in previous roles.
