Inventory Analyst

Overview:
Are you an experienced Inventory Analyst looking for your next opportunity? If so, this permanent opportunity on our Supply Chain team could be the one for you.
Responsibilities:
Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities

Obsolescence Reviews:
  • Lead monthly obsolescence review for all divisions supplied from Cork:
    • Compile monthly reports, analyse risk and identify mitigating actions
    • Co-ordinate with other departments and teams to ensure mitigating actions are completed and risk avoided
    • Lead cross functional monthly meeting on risk movements and align with Global controls and Finance on correct monthly booking
    • Ensure control documentation is maintained correctly (SOX control) and meet with external auditors as required
    • Complete obsolescence reviews on all reformulations and discontinuations. Ensure clear process in place for tracking this risk and cross charging write offs

Disposals Process
  • Co-ordinate and improve inventory disposals process:
    • Run disposals report, co-ordinate between departments to ensure list is accurate and manage waste contractor to ensure list is closed out in a timely manner
    • Drive process improvement leveraging feedback from key stakeholders to ensure inventory is efficiently removed from both Cork sites
    • Communicate any issues or delays in disposals to management
Support
  • Act as support to Inventory Manager & wider team:
    • Where required, participate in implementation of core inventory projects
    • Help drive identification and development of inventory reduction strategies in conjunction with other departments
    • Review reports and dashboards for exceptions (very high or low inventory), ensure materials planning root cause same and report output to Inventory Manager and Support Centre Inventory team
    • Highlight trends causing continually high or low inventory

General
  • Drive process improvements and develop analytical tools for reserves and disposals reporting
  • Meet all internal & external compliance responsibilities including GCS, SOX & AIBI

Control and compliance
  • Develop and maintain GCS documentation and ensure full compliance
  • Successfully complete SOX and GCS audits as required
Qualifications:

Essential Skills: -

  • Experience in use of SAP and MS Excel
  • Strong supply chain experience in a dynamic multinational organization (desirable)
  • Excellent MRP and analytical skills, with a proven ability to problem solve and make quick decisions
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Be capable of working effectively in a cross functional environment
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks, with strong attention to detail
  • Results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives;
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent Customer Awareness and customer focus
  • Third level qualification in Supply Chain or related discipline
