About The Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Fleet Specialist to join our team supporting the UK & Irish businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Fleet Specialist to join a dynamic team, in a competitive and fast paced environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Procurement Director, you will utilize your negotiation, communication, and management skills to be a key part of the Bidvest Noonan Irish team. You will be responsible for all fleet purchasing, managing and procurement support for the business.

To be successful the candidate should be comfortable negotiating and ensure the vehicles procured comply with company standards and policies. The person should also have an analytical mind and be interested in keeping up with new product and service trends.
Operational:

• Manage the Bidvest Noonan fleet. This involves managing the fleet suppliers, selecting suitable vehicles, monitoring driver operations, making sure licenses are up to date, optimizing fuel and maintenance costs, dealing with insurance cases, and approving repair bills
• Liaising with company colleagues (across Operations and support functions) to determine vehicle and product requirements
• Prepare and present annual fleet budget

• Derive insights from various reports and the ERP data to identify opportunities for cost savings
• Develop, monitor, and enhance service level agreements and KPIs with key supplier contracts. This includes ensuring contractual compliance and satisfactory performance against agreed KPIs
• Have a strong hold on the pulse of the market and relationships within the automobile industry to gain insights on the production and vehicle availability to minimize risk and cost to the business

• This role also involves supporting the Procurement Manager and will be an extension to that role offering an exciting the opportunity to gain procurement experience as well
• Monitor the site spend on chemicals and consumables to highlight major movements and put controls in place to reduce usage
• Ensure product listing, prices and codes are up to date
• Work with the helpdesks to find the right problem-product fit for the sites

• Minimum 3 years of experience handling fleet and managing suppliers providing related services
• Strong analytical & communication skills with an ability to collaborate at all levels in an organization ranging from the CXOs to entry level colleagues
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a cross functional group
• Excellent IT skills, including Excel, data analytics and IT systems
• Strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right first-time results
• Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment – resilience and flexibility is key
• The candidate should have a full clean driving license and be able to handle vehicles if needed
