TITLE OF VACANCY:
Customer Care Executive, North European Groups Depart GERMAN speaking – Dublin based (hybrid)
We are seeking a customer care executive with a proven track record in a fast paced environment. The individual will be a customer orientated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, articulate with total fluency in written and spoken English and German as a distinct advantage.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be looking after our valuable clients creating and maintaining long-term relationships. Offering best in class customer care service and ensuring our groups are looked after as per our standards. The role will align with the other hubs in the team working closely with our colleagues in business development and other areas of the group business. Teamwork is as essential in this role as working independently.
CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:
- The Account Handling/Customer Services function for Ireland and for some UK groups as required within the North European Groups Department – key to this is to ensure that client group operations requirements for the department operate smoothly and in a timely fashion.
- Full utilisation of the Tourplan system to generate all client and supplier communications also ensuring that the confirmed proposal is accurately reflected in Tourplan thereby facilitating a smooth and accurate accounting process.
- Responsibility for operating the Department’s 24 hour emergency phone number on a rotational basis; shared with other staff members from the North European Groups Department.
- Any agreed sales and marketing activities, either in Ireland or in the overseas market place. This could take the form of either desk based activities or direct agent/client interaction.
- Supervision of any staff/trainees assigned to the area.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department within Abbey Group).
- Assisting the Abbey Group with its environmental and responsible tourism initiatives
- You will report to the North European Head of Department
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Fluency in English & German required (Oral & written)
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Excellent customer care and communication skill
- Team player able to work in a busy environment
- Good knowledge of the Irish and UK tourism industry products a distinct advantage
