We operate a modern fleet of 150 trucks and 250 trailers, supported by 250 staff across our locations.

Job Overview:
As Compliance & Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Director at our primary operational site in Dublin during the day shift. This role combines operational oversight with a strong focus on compliance, quality, and continuous improvement to ensure O'Toole Transport’s high standards are maintained and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
  • Act as the primary link between the transport team and crossdock to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion.
  • Oversee and manage the daytime transport crossdock and small warehouse operations.
  • Maintain effective management of the yard during the day shift, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Supervise the trailer wash team, ensuring that checklists are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist the Aviation Security Manager; training will be provided to support compliance with aviation security requirements.
  • Ensure steady flow of empty trailer availability for transport planners from efficient running of trailer wash and crossdock.
2. Quality Compliance
  • Serve as the BRC and Quality Lead for the Dublin site, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and certifications.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the implementation and maintenance of BRC standards.
  • Conduct daily reviews of hygiene and quality checks within the warehouse and crossdock operations.
  • Regularly review the trailer wash log to ensure checklist compliance and maintain high-quality recordkeeping.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and quality compliance.
3. Transport Compliance
  • Manage the onboarding process for new transport subcontractors, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Ensure that subcontractor insurance limits align with customer and company requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of subcontractor insurance documentation on file.
  • Assist the Driver Compliance Manager with tasks and initiatives as required to ensure compliance with transport regulations.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in an operations or compliance management role, preferably within logistics, transportation, or FMCG sectors.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., BRC) and operational procedures. Training will be provided.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, implement processes, and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across departments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with logistics or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
