Business Manager for Surabaya

Position Summary

The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of the company’s product portfolio within a designated territory or area. This includes driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, delivering technical support, and ensuring the profitability of the branch. The position is also tasked with achieving the sales targets, controlling direct expenses, and ensuring customer satisfaction, all while aligning with the company's overall strategy and objectives.


Responsibilities


  • Manage and promote the company’s product portfolio within the assigned sales area by aligning personal goals with company objectives using the Group’s e-Performance Management System.
  • Create and execute sales strategies that effectively promote the company’s products to meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Provide guidance to the sales staff on customer engagement, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
  • Monitor and review outstanding debts on a monthly basis, ensuring minimal risk of potential bad debts and improving cash flow.
  • Use the existing CRM system (C4C) to input sales information, track progress, and manage the opportunity pipeline.
  • Ensure the CRM system is updated regularly, allowing for efficient monitoring and reporting of sales activities.
  • Analyze sales data and pipeline status to identify opportunities and optimize sales processes.
  • Understand customers’ business needs, behavior, and company structure in order to offer tailored solutions that meet their technical and commercial requirements.
  • Provide efficient technical and commercial support, ensuring customers receive the best solutions for their challenges.
  • Monitor competitor activities, including product offerings, stock levels, and organizational changes within the assigned sales area.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential customers to ensure long-term business success.
  • Foster customer loyalty by ensuring JJ-Lapp’s reputation for quality products and services is consistently upheld.
  • Regularly visit key accounts and other customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and build confidence in the brand.
  • Identify and develop strong relationships with dealers within the area, equipping them with the necessary product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Promote a healthy, fair, and democratic work environment, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Work with management to address personnel concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain team morale.
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives and support cross-functional projects that drive business success.
  • Engage in pricing discussions with customers, tailoring offers to meet their specific requirements while ensuring company profitability.
  • Participate in company exhibitions, seminars, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and promote the company’s products.



Required qualifications


Qualification:
  • Degree in Business Management/Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in managing customer relationships, leading sales teams, and driving sales growth within a defined territory or area.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (preferably C4C or similar) for sales tracking and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, product solutions, and customer relationship management.
  • Multi-tasking person with high energy, self-motivated, self-reliant and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to think out of the box and apply innovation/creativity to suggested solutions
