While we support remote work, visiting the office on an ad-hoc basis is necessary, and we recommend meeting at least twice a week for better communication. Main Responsibilities:
1. Project management
- Full project life cycle ownership: from initiation and planning to completed project-seeking to ensure projects are delivered on time and to expectations; managing scoping, ceremonies, risks, issues, activities, and people to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Identify, procure, and manage adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
- Stakeholder management and project transparency - monitoring and sharing / reporting progress to relevant stakeholders, highlighting milestones, risks and achievements
- Fostering - or supporting the fostering of - a culture of collaboration, openness and joint success in individual projects
2. Area management
- Line-manage one or more project managers, supporting their development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
3. Adoption of best practices and tools
- Create and/or maintain effective ways of working for project gating and greenlighting and managing related processes and ceremonies
- Create and/or maintain effective ways of working for identifying resource requirements on a per project and aggregate level
- Implementing or extending existing ways of working for resource visualization and prioritization, ensuring efficient utilization of resources across multiple projects
- Lead work to evolve best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships that facilitate continuous improvement of project success factors, efficiency and effectiveness
- Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
About You
- Charismatic leader, communicator, and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to energize, organise, and coach project participants and stakeholders
- You're a great organizer and delegator
- Commercially savvy and goal-orientated - being able recognize what’s important to achieve a successful project outcome and what’s required to make it happen.
- You have great verbal and written communication skills and can present complex project issues or concepts in an easy, non-technical manner
- You are a quick thinker and problem solver with an innate ability to drive a project forward even under challenging circumstances
- Skilled at driving success with projects with significant dependencies on external parties and/or 3rd party contributions
- Adept at decisive resolution of business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.
- 5-7+ years of initiation to completion project management, preferably within a software industry setting managing the full life cycle
- Proven line management experience
- Possess good knowledge of Tech and IT business structures, Scrum, and Agile methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google office productivity tools and one or more established project management tools, e.g. monday.com, smartsheets, Asana or Wrike
- Influencing and gaining buy-in from executives, sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers
