The Business Intelligence & Analytics | e Commerce and Customer Insight Analyst will be a key part of a team of technical business analysts that support the online and marketing communication business to manage, automate and streamline their data requirements and develop and present insights that drive business decision making while understanding business specifics and providing value-added service.
This role will be the analytics expert for the Sony Europe online business, providing reporting and insights on web-based metrics, sales impacts, social media and marketing KPIs as well as providing the direction on future online analytics initiatives.
Whether it be understanding market behaviour, traffic and conversion performance, customer website behaviour or retention status and strategy, this role will be responsible for ensuring the value-added business insights are delivered on time and in high quality as well as that data is gathered in the most efficient and effective manner using the modern data lake, automation and Business Intelligence tools and languages.
A key requirement of the role is to ensure business understanding, automate and develop relevant reporting and the deliver value added business analysis to bring maximum benefit to the business. To achieve this the DX BI&A – e Commerce and Customer Insight Analyst will be required to provide stakeholder management to their supported business areas, understand their requirements and manage and agree prioritisation of business requests as well as optimise, migrate and retire existing solutions based on proper criteria. DX BI&A – e Commerce and Customer Insight Analyst is also expected to be a member of the SEU Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence, being an advocate of best practice ways of working seamlessly joining business understanding with end to end development and solutioning.
You will:
  • Liaise with variety of business stakeholders to understand Online and Customer Marketing priorities and manage the demand pipeline and requirements from the business.
  • Closely cooperate with business PICs advising data availability, sources and solutions.
  • Ensure data is available, collected, stored and prepared in the most efficient and effective manner, utilising tooling such as Power Automate, Databricks and Power BI platform.
  • Design, build and manage reports relating to Customer Marketing/Retention Marketing including customer registrations/insights/engagement and Online stores such as Market share, Sales, Stock, Online Shop-Front Data, Customer Reviews & Ratings, Search/Keyword Advertising and other online related data.
  • Understand and optimize business processes and use best possible technologies to provide optimisation and added value.
  • Analyse key business performance metrics and support business stakeholders to provide intelligence to take actions. Improve and optimise existing reporting by providing new insights and analysis.
  • Communicate to the business changes and developments in analytics processes and implement where appropriate new technologies and ways of working.
  • Ensure all products, whether developed personally or by a third party adhere to company development standards and undergo any necessary QA checks and processes.
  • Ensure that data quality and governance are positive contributors to stakeholders’ processes.
You will bring:
  • Relevant experience in Business Intelligence/data analysis roles.
  • Ability to get inspired by developing efficient solutions, powerful data visualisations and storytelling using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI with a high level of technical competence.
  • Exposure to Power Automate, SQL and Python, able to understand how the implantation of such tools are essential for automation and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data management, with highly numerate and analytical, commercially astute skills.
  • Understanding of Online and Customer Marketing business requirements
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills with a strong ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and influentially both verbally & in writing.
  • A keen tech insight and passion for technology.
