Job Description
Looking for conscientious and engaged people with a keen interest in IT who want hands-on experience with various technologies in a multi-culture, multi-customer environment.
Tasks:
-
Automation tasks within several custom applications of the AT customer (insurance company)
- Linux, Apache Tomcat, Ansibel, Terraform, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Openshift, Python/Bash/Powershell scripting
- The colleague will have a central role in automation topics in client's specific applications and their associated systems
- In addition to his/her in-depth technical knowledge, also perform consulting tasks and make suggestions on request
- He/she will have to work with colleagues on the application and OS side, seeing through the whole client's environment in the future
- JIRA based ticket administration and documentation
- Participation in customer and vendor calls
- Providing on-call support
- Solving complex problems, doing Root Cause Analysis
- Capacity planning, performance tuning, optimization related activities
- Automation related scripting tasks
- Knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Requirements:
- College/university degree or equivalent certificates or work experience
- At least 5 years experience in a relevant IT field
- Strong & confident knowledge of Linux
- Experience with Kubernetes or Docker container technologies
- Know how in CI/CD Pipeline, Terraform, Ansible, Openshift, Elastic Search, KAFKA/Cassandra technologies
- Familiarity with scripting: Powershell/Python/Bash language (occasionally scripting in Go is expected)
- Confident knowledge in Git Lab/Git Hub
- Fluent communicative verbal and written communication skills in English
- Agile methodology knowledge (eg. SCRUM, Kanban board)
- General Cloud basics (Azure is good if available)
- German language in verbal and written form
- reliable, conscientious, engaged, open, teamplayer, responsible person, able to adopt to a dynamic environment
- self-starter, continuous self-learner, with very good communication skills both with the client and with the technical teams, who does not need to be told what to do, but is constantly thinking and acting to improve systems, this is the basis of all his/her work
