About the position and our company

Reppublika is a multinational media tech company headquartered in Vienna, developing our own Saa S product in the field of online advertising, access panels and digital market research. We are currently a team of 60, including 40 developers, working both on-site and remotely across Europe. We are looking for a Mid-level Backend Developer to join the team in one of our offices, or fully remotely. We would like to bolster our teams in Debrecen, Riga and Prague, so applicants in those locations are strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop minor and major application features - from coding to testing and deploying
  
• Code, test, and deploy new features; Troubleshoot application bugs and determine resolutions
  
• Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability
  
• Suggest improvements, security needs, best practices, etc (we welcome initiative and ideas)
  

Requirements

• Experience of at least 4 years working with PHP and My SQL.
  
• Experience with Laravel and git
  
• Experience developing Rest APIs
  
• Ease in writing, editing, and maintaining Unit/Feature tests
  
• Appreciation for clean, reusable, and well tested code, and attention to detail
  
• Good English skills, experience in clear and empathetic communication within a remote team
