Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Los Angeles, Cathay Bank is the oldest Chinese bank in the United States. Job Responsibilities:
Solicit new clients both borrowing & deposit.

Obtain all necessary documents/financial information for review and discussion with Supervisor.

Arrange clients site office/factory visit to thoroughly know your clients and to prepare relevant call reports.

Open account for clients, ensuring completion of clients due diligence and perform periodic review in accordance with the policy requirements.

Conduct annual client account review on different risk-base.

Monitor and manage credit quality of Account Officer’s own portfolio.

Prepare CCR for approval of the facilities to be granted.

Approach clients for signing of facility letter and other respective loan documents after facility approval.

Follow up facility draw down and follow up credit line utilization.

Closely follow up clients account performance and frequent client contact for the update status of each individual clients.

In case of overdue, immediately visit clients for reasons and when to be settled. Report to the Supervisor the status of clients and follow up actions being taken.

Review daily reports for clients account performance, loan utilization rate and maturity of loan files.

Conduct annual review/renew clients credit line and discussion with clients their business need for the coming year.

Well versed and closely follow the AML/CFT legal issues and guidelines prevailing in the U.S. and H.K.

Follow up the performance of supporting officer.

Qualifications

Education: College graduate with major in accounting or business preferred.

Experience: 6-10 years corporate lending and banking experience in Hong Kong with thorough knowledge of lending regulations and credit/underwriting practices.

Skills/Ability: PC proficient. Good verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus. Organized and detail oriented. Good credit knowledge of Bank’s credit underwriting policies and approval process for assigned loan. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high production environment. Strong financial analysis and accounting skills.
