Job Summary:
The Cash Equities Vice President is responsible for identifying and developing business initiatives to drive secondary market liquidity and diversify revenue streams. As part of the role, the Cash Equities Vice President would formulate strategic plans to systematically grow secondary market liquidity, collaborate closely with project teams in implementation of initiatives, and support Sales and Marketing as an SME.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the multi-year strategic plan to grow HKEX's securities market liquidity and create diverse revenue streams
• Develop and articulate policy recommendations to HKEX senior management and regulators
• Collaborate with internal parties on the prioritization and implementation of business initiatives
• Collaborate with HKEX client teams to cultivate relationships with buy-side, sell-side and liquidity providing firms to improve HKEX's market efficiency and competitiveness
• Develop market insights and analysis regarding Hong Kong and China securities markets that caters to HKEX's diverse clientele
• Represent HKEX as a thought leader for industry groups, conferences, clients and media
• Collaborate with internal and external parties on the promotion of Hong Kong's securities market

Requirements:

• Has at least 5 years of experience in the areas of equity execution trading, brokering, and/or market structure
• Possess strong business acumen with experience in product management/development across
• Possess the ability to balance strategic vision with tactical opportunities
• Specialist level understanding of securities/equity and Stock Connect market structure
• Possess critical problem-solving skills to test hypotheses and validate findings
• Possess strong multi-level communication skills and be able to build working relationships across HKEX and regulators
• Fluency/proficient in Mandarin preferred
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to break down barriers to achieve goals
