Application are invited for appointment as Senior Manager/ Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I/II) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref: 530584), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ solid administrative experience at supervisory level, preferably in higher education or a related sector. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organizational skills, problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, open-mindedness, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently with initiative. In addition to being versatile in administration, project management, marketing, and networking, they should also be familiar with the contemporary trends of Hong Kong higher education.
The appointee is responsible for the administration of academic programmes and related areas of work, including examinations, academic advising, quality assurance, accreditation, student affairs, and any other duties as assigned. He/she is also required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assist in the development and implementation of strategic plan and policies for academic programmes, and to serve Faculty committees.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AA I and 10% of basic salary for AA II.
