Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Veolia in Hong Kong, is responsible for operation and maintenance of District Cooling System in Kai Tak Development and maintenance of some other Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems e.g. Hong Kong Science Technology Park, West Kowloon Cultural District and two Data Centers.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations, including performing periodic equipment tours, creation and modification of site operating procedures, change management tickets, and timely incident reporting;

Oversee whole building services systems and critical facilities equipment and maintain cost effective and efficient operation of all building services systems;

Plan, implement, coordinate and supervise all mechanical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment;

Perform data analysis on mechanical systems to predict / prevent failures, ensure system efficiency improve PUE;

Oversee scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance with minimum disruption of building services systems and coordinate with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and engineers;

Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, owners, property management and vendors;

Respond quickly to emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns;

Lead and manage a team of shift engineers including training, and personnel development;

Requirements

Higher Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or a related discipline;

At least 3 years of experience in operating of data centre and/or critical facilities;

Strong management and organization skills to manage the operations and lead multiple trade disciplines;

Fault isolating, troubleshooting skills and composed under pressure or emergency situations;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;

Professional membership from a relevant organization will be an advantage;

Experiences in planning, implementing, coordinating and supervising H.V. & L.V. WR2 will be an advantage;

Registered Electrical Worker Grade A0 or above will be an advantage;

Immediate available is preferred;

Candidate with more experience will be considered for the post of Senior Engineer.
