Odyssea (A Non-Profit Organization based in Athens, Greece) operates an Academy designed to empower individuals with the skills they need to integrate into the workforce and achieve self-reliance. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Academy Manager to lead this vital department, ensuring that training programs are effectively designed, delivered, and aligned with labor market demands.


Position Summary
:



As the Academy Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager and oversee all aspects of the Academy’s operations, including course planning, instructor management, partnerships, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in designing impactful training programs, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Academy.



What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and oversee the Academy’s curriculum, ensuring courses are well-structured and effective
  • Recruit, manage, and support instructors, focusing on practical, hands-on teaching.
  • Regularly review and update training materials and curricula, making necessary adaptations to maintain quality and relevance.
  • Manage partnerships with external providers for off-site training, securing competitive and high-quality services.
  • Support contract and payment processes for instructors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timelines.
  • Provide guidance and resources to instructors to optimize training delivery and maintain high standards.
  • Lead and support Academy staff, manage schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Communicate clear objectives, deadlines, and requirements for each course and project.
  • Handle team requests for leave, remote work, and sick days in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Work with the Communications team to promote courses and manage course applications.
  • Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and use feedback to improve programs.
  • Implement robust monitoring and evaluation tools to identify areas for improvement and track the impact of training programs.
  • Represent Odyssea at events and networking opportunities.


Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Vocational Training, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing training programs, education centers, or similar initiatives, including team management.
  • Ability to develop and execute structured training plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders, from instructors to corporate partners and students.
  • Adept at managing timelines, coordinating resources, and meeting KPIs.
  • Skilled at managing complex administrative tasks, including reports, contracts, and schedules.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Comfortable with tools such as Microsoft Office, project management platforms (e.g., Monday, Hubspot), and digital reporting tools.


Great Plus:
  • Familiarity with the non-profit sector and donor reporting requirements.
  • Expertise in curriculum design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience negotiating agreements with external training providers and stakeholders.
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
