Junior Backend Engineer

Junior
The Geo Way team is actively looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to troubleshoot software issues, write efficient code and maintain documentation, participate in code reviews and assist senior engineers with projects.
Responsibilities
- Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and system performance.
- Coding and Testing: Write clean, efficient code and participate in testing and debugging to ensure software quality.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Code Review Participation: Engage in code reviews to learn from team members and ensure code quality standards are maintained.

Support engineering team: Assist senior engineers with design, development, and implementation of projects and systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Programming Skills: experience with Golang
- Basic Knowledge of Software Development: Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodology, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and communicate them effectively.
- Eagerness to Learn: Strong desire to learn new technologies and develop skills in a collaborative environment.

Attention to Detail: A commitment to delivering high-quality work with precision and accuracy.
Nice-to-Have: - Internship or prior project experience in software development, cloud technologies, or related fields.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and collaboration software.
- Basic understanding of databases, networking, or cloud infrastructure.
