Sourcing Specialist

Location: El Avión, Heredia, Belén, Costa Rica (oficina de JLL).

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Contract Type: Indefinite-term / fixed-term.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough vendor assessments and due diligence.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Manage the entire procurement process, from requisition to purchase order creation and contract execution.
- Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate requirements into effective procurement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal clients.
- Implement and manage e-procurement systems and tools to streamline the purchasing process.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation in the procurement function.
- Manage inventory levels and lead times to ensure optimal stock levels and timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in e-procurement systems and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing procurement practices.
- Certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) are a plus.
