I am seeking a bilingual (English and Chinese) professional to act as our sourcing agent in China. The ideal candidate will help organize and oversee the manufacturing process of soft candies and jellies by establishing and maintaining relationships with local manufacturers. This is a part-time, long-term position requiring intermittent work hours based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturer Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with soft candy and jelly manufacturers in China.
• Negotiations: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with manufacturers to secure favorable deals.
• Quality Assurance Coordination: Ensure that manufacturers meet our quality standards and production requirements.
• Communication Bridge: Facilitate clear and effective communication between our company and local manufacturers.
• Project Management: Coordinate manufacturing schedules, monitor progress, and report updates.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with local regulations and our company's policies.

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) to ensure seamless communication.
• Experience: Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing coordination. Experience in the candy, jelly, or food industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Cultural Competence: Understanding of both Western and Chinese business practices and cultural nuances.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field preferred.
