SIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATOR (ASL OR LSQ) - FREELANCE
CONTRACT

Additional responsibilities will include providing:
- Accurate translation services by analyzing meaning of the source language and to construct a target language that meets the needs of the audience.
- Excellent quality service to all consumers/customers by maintaining CHS professional standards.
The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma/degree, complemented by three years’ translation experience including on-screen, public-facing work. Along with excellent ASL and English or LSQ and French language skills (in which you are fluent), you also have access to operating knowledge of high-resolution quality video recording equipment, lighting, backgrounds, and file transfer applications. As well, you will be someone with excellent customer service, interpersonal and analytical skills, who can handle pressure and can easily manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
