Position: Quality Control Coordinator
Salary: $80,000
Location: Fort Mc Murray (CNRL Horizon)
Working Schedule: 4 and 3 Rotation

Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities.
Overview: The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality programs in more than one remote site. This individual will drive continuous improvement of quality related programs while working as a member of the Risk Management, HSEQ support team.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Quality Control Coordinator we’d ask you to do the following for us:

• In general, the role is responsible for leading HSEQ, quality related projects with a broad range of scope, complexity, and stakeholders. Stakeholders may range from HSEQ team members to Operations leadership.
• Conduct safety and quality related inspections regularly
• Verification and validation of corrective action responses
• Measure and report on audit compliance and trending analysis
• Identify improvement opportunities in existing HSEQ processes/programs.
• Responsible for project management tasks related to quality.
• Produce and participate in review of quality related resources
• Provide business analysis and high-level reporting as needed
• Develop and implement programs by writing procedures, testing them in units
• Support the HSEQ Management team and Operations Teams with food safety related injury and illness investigations as needed
• Reinforce a strong safety culture and make recommendations for corrective action related to safety contraventions, whether food or occupational
• Act as lead for external audit programs including ISO 22000, HACCP, client inspections, etc
• Remain up to date on food safety related regulations, legislation and requirements
• Responsible for document control of food safety related resources (training tools, signage, HACCP logs, SOPs)
• Other duties and administration as required

• College Diploma or Post Graduate degree in Food Science or related
• A bachelor degree in public health, food safety or a related discipline, or certified CP-FS preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in and formal certification in project management, Six Sigma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in a QA leadership role or equivalent.
• Hands on knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, BRC, or like quality food safety management systems, in food service manufacturing or production preferred
• Creative problem solving skills
• Excellent Communication and decision-making skills
• Committed and enthusiastic approach to supporting business customers and end users
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills with excellent knowledge of Excel, Power Pivot and Power BI would give the candidate an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Share Point preferred
