Primary Purpose: The Community Operations & Recovery Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a team in a community outreach office, focusing on community engagement, fundraising, event support, and developing and facilitating recovery programs. This role involves a strong emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with local donors, training and supporting staff and volunteers, managing resources, and acting as a first point of contact for admissions and local programs and authorities. The position requires a background in social work, psychology, counseling, public health, or a related field, and an in-depth understanding of addiction, recovery, and crisis intervention. The manager will also be involved in administrative duties, strategic planning, communication strategies, and ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and organizational guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Leadership: Lead and support the team of local staff members in the community outreach office, managing schedules, setting goals, planning, and driving community engagement initiatives, while ensuring effective office operations and team collaboration in alignment with the organization's mission.
2. Fundraising: Daily fundraising efforts to substantially drive the growth and development of local ministry programs, alongside managing administrative duties, contributing to strategic planning, and enhancing communication strategies.
3. Event’s Support: Leads targeted fundraising efforts for Adult & Teen Challenge, actively engaging and inviting donors and community members to participate in fundraising and events, fostering a collaborative effort to secure essential funding for the ministry's programs and activities.
4. Community Engagement and Network Building: Actively fosters and strengthens relationships with local donors by promptly addressing their inquiries, keeping them regularly informed about the organization's latest developments, and showcasing the impactful results driven by their donations.
5. Program Development and Facilitation: Assisting in the creation and execution of effective recovery programs, including Ready Now Recovery Groups and Freedom Church Services. This involves planning, administration, and direct interaction with individuals in need.
6. Training and Support for Staff and Volunteers: Providing essential training, support, and mentorship to staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
7. Resource Management: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the community Office.
8. First Point of Contact and Family Liaison: Acting as the initial point of contact for local authorities, partner agencies, and admissions, guiding individuals and their families through the application process, and offering ongoing support and communication.
9. Coverage of other staff vacation and sick leave including those in other locations if need

Qualifications:
1. Educational Background: Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
2. Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role within a nonprofit or community service organization, demonstrating skills in team management, strategic planning, and effective operations.
3. Fundraising and Event Management: Proven track record in fundraising, including donor relations, with a focus on community-based initiatives.
4. Community Engagement Skills: Strong experience in community outreach, network building, and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, including donors and community groups.
5. Program Development and Execution: Experience in creating, implementing, and evaluating community programs, particularly those related to support and recovery services.
6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, adept at engaging with diverse groups and managing internal and external communications.
7. Resource Management Proficiency: Competency in overseeing office resources, including budget management, resource allocation, and maintenance.
8. Adaptability and Crisis Management: Ability to adapt to changing situations, cover various roles as needed, and effectively manage crisis situations, with appropriate training in crisis intervention.
9. Valid Driver’s License: For travel between different locations and community outreach.
10. Background Check: Due to the nature of the role, especially the involvement with law enforcement and vulnerable populations, a clean criminal record check is typically required.
