Apprentice and Journeyman Pipefitter
Scovan is looking for Apprentice and Journeyman Pipefitters to join our team in Ponoka for the day and night shift. This position offers stable, full-time hours with an opportunity to grow and learn from our hard-working team!
Duties:

• Measuring and selecting type and size of pipe and related materials according to drawings and job specifications
• Assemble and install a variety of valves and fittings
• Secure pipe to structures and clamps, brackets or hangers
• Ability to measure accurately, lay out work, cut, bevel, threat and fit pipe
• Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
• Inspect job sites to determine presence of obstructions, plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and the activities of other crafts
• Knowledge around cranes and equipment. Recognize spool hoisting points and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals
• Working at various heights, either on scaffold or AWP
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have Journeyman ticket
• CSTS2020
• Fall Arrest
• AWP

Details:

• Full-time hours - Typical shift is Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days.
• Journeymen Rate $41/hour.
• Apprentice Rate $26.65-$38.95/hour.
• Night shift premium, additional $3/hour.
• All work is completed in our industrial module yard in Ponoka, Alberta. No need to travel.
• OT eligible.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:

• Overtime pay
