We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students, including those with disabilities. This role involves educating children through engaging lesson plans, utilizing effective classroom management techniques. The Teacher will work collaboratively with staff and parents to support the educational development of each student. Must be a PR or Canadian citizen or legally able to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to educate students on various subjects while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can succeed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, using computerized systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a strong school community.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing time management skills to ensure a productive learning environment.
- A degree in Education or a related field is preferred, with experience in early childhood education being an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs.
- Proficiency in computer operation for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Strong written communication skills for creating reports, lesson plans, and correspondence with parents.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing multiple responsibilities within the classroom setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
