The company aims to empower consumers to pay anything, any way they want it including with installments, regardless of merchants options (yes, anything in up to 12x, always!);
It does so by building a layer on top of Pix & Open Finance to improve their last-mile payment functionalities such as allowing for Financing (credit and installments), Fraud Protection (chargebacks and insurance) and less Friction (tap and pay for consumers, easy approval for merchants etc.);
Nova was founded in the end of 2023 by an elite team of financial services/fintech veterans, is backed by two leading venture capital funds (Monashees and Canary) and is now building its founding team

Key ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an outstanding engineer to join our early-stage fintech as part of our founding team, as such you ll play a pivotal role in:

Designing our foundational frontend architecture;

Deciding our modern technology stack;
-
Developing our key applications;
-
Launching our MVP and iterating on product roadmap;

Forming our engineering culture, promoting best practices and long-term focus
Ideal ProfileAcademic:
- Preferred Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related fields
-
Preferred Master/Ph D degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Required 5-10 years of experience with modern, technically advance companies
-
Preferred experience with early-stage start-ups, specially 0 to 1 stage
-
Preferred experience with fintech, specially payments in Brazil
- Preferred graduated from top schools and/or with top grades
-
Preferred participated and/or won in competitions, received work-related awards
-
Preferred active leader in the community, has published articles, given lectures etc.

Preferred other demonstrable proofs of ambition, intelligence and/or resilience
Hard Skills:
- Required at least 3 years of production-level experience in Flutter software development

Preferred experience with native app development, either Android (Kotlin) or i OS (Swift)

Preferred experience with different APIs models, including Graph QL and Apollo Federation
Soft Skills:
- Required Entrepreneurship: passionate for the start-up environment, is a versatile professional that is proactive and takes ownership of whatever project is working on, has a willingness to take calculated risks and highly values work with a purpose;

Other Requirements
- Language: Required at least Full Professional Proficiency in English

Location: Required at least 2x a week in office (Vila Madalena in São Paulo)
