Who you are

For this role you have minimum 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing, SEO or similar. You have experience using SEO specific tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Bright Edge, SEO Excel addons, Lumar etc.), as well as website analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4. Furthermore, your language skills (native proficiency in either Dutch or French and very good written and spoken English) and your writing skills for both short and long form SEO related copy will be essential for the position of SEO specialist at IKEA Belgium. You are at ease collaborating with different business stakeholders.

You have the ability to identify and follow trends about digital best practices, tools and methods as well as ability to analyze and break down large amounts of data. In addition, you enjoy contextualizing and communicating complex issues in your area of expertise to generate buy-ins and solutions. You have the ability to work and perform under pressure with flexibility and simplicity as well as the ability to follow up on work done and capture learnings to improve.

Your responsibilities

In the role as SEO Specialist, you are responsible for contributing to IKEA goals for growth and positioning by improving organic search performance in online channels, where IKEA is present. You are also responsible for defining the SEO strategy to support the traffic to the country website, both in quantity and quality, cooperating with the e-commerce and marketing teams.

You will:

• Act as a member of the E-commerce and marketing team and proactively contribute to the E-commerce & marketing plan in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals
• Support the team of SEO specialists in analyzing, reviewing and implementing SEO changes and strategy to the online channels, to increase visibility on all major organic search players
• Be responsible for writing short and long form SEO copy in French or Dutch, ranging from meta titles & descriptions to blog articles
• Perform ongoing keyword research and identify improvements for content optimization
• Report regularly on SEO key performances indicators
• Work closely with content editors, merchandisers and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation, optimization and improvements, as well as advise business leaders on trends and demands in the market
• Contribute and collaborate around global SEO projects
• Collaborate closely with SEM in Marketing to find the best balance across organic and paid search
• Stay up-to-date with industry updates and Google algorithms updates and implement them in your daily work
• You act as an ambassador for the IKEA culture and values and enjoy working in a dynamic and changing environment

In this role you will report to the Country Integrated Media Manager.
This role is located in IKEA Service Office, Zaventem.
