We are looking for a Patient Communities Operations Manager who is dynamic and innovative to join the PE&A Group, based in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
The primary purpose of the PE&A Project Manager is to drive the defined outcomes to achieve the timely, impactful and fit for purpose execution of the PE&A activities and projects. An expert in UCB internal systems and processes, you will work with the team of external contractors to support the ongoing needs of the PE&A team and support the evolution of UCB processes & systems in line with changing external environment and our stakeholders’ expectations.
As a member of the PE&A LT, you will keep the strategic vision and ambition in check by bringing the operational perspective and proactively offering solutions to resolve the process & system bottlenecks.

Different stakeholders within UCB; Legal, E&BI, Procurement, I2I, Orbit team
Externally; patients and their caregivers, patient advocacy groups, patient influencers

Who you’ll work with

Externally; patients and their caregivers, patient advocacy groups, patient influencers
What you’ll do
- Overall responsibility for creation, review coordination and reconciliation of fee-for-service activities with patients and processing of grant / sponsorship requests from patient advocacy groups
- Contracting of patients and patient advocacy groups (other stakeholders as required) to execute PE&A activities, execution of payments.
- Vendor/ Patient organizations and patients’ creation into the UCB system.
- Travel arrangement for patients, patient organizations, and caregivers to attend UCB-organized events.
- Support the evolution of the fit for purpose PE&A processes & related systems
- Coordination of a team of external contractors, ensuring equitable task distribution.
Interested? For this role you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
- Educated to BSc (or equivalent) and hold certification in; Project Management or Qualification (e.g. PMP, APM, Prince 2, Safe/Agile etc).
- At least 2 years of experience in a Project Management Role, Executive Assistant, Medical Operations or related function, ideally within Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Experience of working with global, multi-cultural, diverse teams, with demanding timelines and complex deliverables.
- Experience with working in cross-functional teams focused on the research, development and commercialization of a product, including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Safety, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing and Access.
