Cloud Security Specialist: Brussels and Namur (Hybrid, up to 3 days remote work per week)

As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will collaborate with engineers and IT security teams to build and maintain a secure, resilient cloud infrastructure that supports innovative technologies and ensures compliance with key regulations like GDPR.
You will be instrumental in protecting Azure Cloud platforms and future microservice environments, ensuring secure operations, monitoring for potential threats, and integrating security into every aspect of cloud infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale, green energy initiatives while enhancing your expertise in cloud security.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce cloud security policies, including infrastructure-as-code security controls.
Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
Design and manage secure access controls, network segmentation, and identity management.
Work closely with Dev Ops teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and manage threat response.
Stay updated on security threats and adapt the cloud security posture accordingly.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark, and internal policies.
Collaborate with IT security teams to align cloud security with corporate standards.
Qualifications:
Proven extensive experience with security controls and frameworks, particularly for Microsoft Azure (Azure Security certification preferred).
Proficiency with Hashi Corp Terraform, Sentinel, or other policy-as-code frameworks.
Strong background in network security, including configuring firewalls, VNETs, and secure routing.
Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops practices and automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise with cloud-native security tools (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel) and threat detection.
Strong scripting skills (Power Shell, Python) for automating security tasks and reporting.
Effective communication skills to present security strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
Fluent in English (knowledge of French, Dutch, or German is a plus).
Ability to work independently and prioritize security tasks in cloud operations.
