Santos has a regional operating model with a strong local focus. The Company’s operating structure comprises three regional business units focused on enabling and executing corporate strategy. Two divisions – Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids – are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the primary objective of this role is to lead all warehouse teams in delivering logistics services to our operational stakeholders.
This pivotal position ensures that materials are supplied to work fronts safely, on time, and in the correct configuration.
Additionally, you will be responsible for recommending and implementing operational and improvement plans within the Warehousing and Logistics areas.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deliver standards, objectives, and plans in Warehousing & Logistics.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
- Create warehouse storage and operations solutions that support Operations and Development requirements, considering Safety, Compliance, and Cost.
- Lead warehouse teams to ensure equipment, materials, and inventories are available as per operations schedules, delivered on time, to the right place, and in the correct configuration, while minimising costs.
- Prioritise warehouse operations to ensure timely completion of tasks, including inventory receipts, order picking, preservation, and cycle counts.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Supply Chain Issues and Failures (SCIF) to achieve service levels and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and implement initiatives to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and reduce total cost to serve.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and Santos Procedures.
- Identify compliance risks and take appropriate actions to resolve, mitigate, or escalate them.
- Apply industry and company knowledge to develop, advise, recommend, and deliver plans aligning with the company’s strategy.
- Mitigate or minimise business risks through proactive team management and processes.
- Drive transformation and cultivate a high-performance culture to achieve desired cultural outcomes and actively engage team members.
- Clearly communicate and ensure understanding of team purpose and role accountabilities.
- Implement and deliver cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies relevant to the area.
- Engage and collaborate effectively and timely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the budget in line with company requirements, identifying and delivering opportunities to reduce costs or improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with and adherence to standards for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance and behaviour, consistent with the company’s vision and policies.
About You
Qualifications required:
- Degree or equivalent tertiary education + relevant work experience in a technical area.
- Chain of responsibility level 2 certificate (Desirable)
- Forklift license (Desirable)
