Perisher’s Skitube Train Operations team is actively seeking a versatile individual for a year-round position commencing in the New Year. In this unique dual role, you will serve as a Train Controller during the winter season and contribute as a Labourer in the summer.
During the summer months, your responsibilities will include providing vital support to the Skitube Maintenance department. This involves collaborating on the development of preventative maintenance programs for all assets and undertaking capital works projects as needed to ensure the seamless operation of our winter services.
Come winter, you will enjoy the benefits of the summer preparations, taking on the role of train driving and controlling Skitube trains with unwavering vigilance, prioritizing safety, and strict adherence to operational rules, policies, and legal requirements. The role encompasses maintaining expertise in train driving, control, and emergency response through continuous training. Your responsibilities will also encompass monitoring, facilitating, and, where necessary, recording train movements, track access permits, and other authorities in accordance with the timetable operating rules of the railway and relevant Perisher policies, procedures, and instructions.
To be considered for this role, you should have:

• NSW Drivers Licence
• Fit and healthy with good eyesight and hearing
• A high level of concentration and attention to detail
• The ability to stay calm under pressure
