The SIL Facilitator
The SIL (Supported Independent Living) Facilitator performs an integral role in ensuring the efficient running of the SIL House by co-ordinating staff, clinical professionals, visitors, Just Better Care services and most importantly, our participants.
Main Duties & Principal Accountabilities:
- Provide guidance, education and direction to staff in relation to tasks that require completion during services.
- Oversee general maintenance of house hold facilities.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS and relevant regulations applicable to SIL house.
- Understand customer service needs or preferences, ensuring all relevant information is accessible for team members and service providers.
- Identify and participate in personal professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all Just Better Care policies and procedures, statutory and contractual requirements in relation to management of service delivery.
- Manage communication with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Apply and uphold principles of equity and anti-‐discrimination in the workplace and adhere to organisational and legislative Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
- Any other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Selection Criteria - Essential:
- Registered Nurses / Enrolled Nurses
- Qualifications in Community Services, Human Services, Nursing or equivalent.
- Previous experience supervising, supporting and training staff.
- Experience maintaining computerised customer information systems.
- Administrative and organisational skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to the team.
- Current and clear Criminal Record Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (where required in accordance with state based legislation).
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance.
