South Coast Radiology is seeking motivated, career driven Medical Typists to support our dedicated Radiologists in providing the highest standard of reporting services to our valued patients and referrers.
Join the Medical Typing Team at South Coast Radiology based in Varsity Lakes on the sunny Gold Coast.
This unique and exciting role offers the right candidates the flexibility to work from home, as well as within the office.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday – Friday between the hours of 8.00am-5.30pm, including some weekends once training is complete.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Typing of medical reports by audio transcription

Fast and accurate medical audio typing

Assisting with some administrative tasks when required

ABOUT YOU

Radiology typing experience is highly preferred

Experience with high level of typing and administration essential

Significant experience as a Medical Typist across a broad range of modalities

Highly developed knowledge of medical terminology across several modalities

High degree of computer literacy with proven touch typing and accuracy.

Exceptional command of the English language with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Strong auditory skills, with the ability to transcribe files even with poor audio quality or accent challenges.

Strong attention to detail and focus on completing high quality work.

An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.

Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to meet KPI’s.

A "can do" attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff, and professionals easily.
