The team
The Registry Connect program is focused on the stabilisation and targeted uplift of business registers including designing connections to the ABN and Director ID registers held by the ATO, and the more than 30 registers held by ASIC.
The role
The Product Owner is responsible for representing the business and acting as an escalation point for the business teams while at the same time driving the uplift and modernisation of ASIC's registers, user channels, and interfaces. The Product Owner will also be required to manage and lead Business Analysts in developing high-quality, documented business requirements to enhance product functionality.
This role will see you working closely with Senior Leaders, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts and business teams to ensure the delivered product meets business needs. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Product Management Team to establish and manage a product backlog for platform applications.
You will be accountable for
- Represent the business as the Product Owner and act as an escalation point for the business teams.
- Driving the uplift and modernisation of ASIC's registers, user channels and interfaces.
- Manage and lead the Business Analysts in building the capability of the products and systems to deliver new and enhanced functionality by developing high quality, documented business requirements.
- Working with business senior leaders, product managers, subject matter experts and business teams to ensure the delivered product meets the business need.
- Working with the Product Management Team to establish and manage a Product Backlog to gather and document business and functional requirements for the Platform applications
- Prioritise the delivery of the product backlog to the agreed product strategy and project schedule
- working with the Delivery Teams to elaborate the requirements and develop solutions to business requirements.
- A relevant bachelor's degree and/or extensive work experience in product management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASIC Registry end to end business processes, user interfaces, strategic priorities and operating framework
- Experience working effectively at all levels of the organisation with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and understand business requirements, solve complex issues and document solutions.
- Previous demonstrated experience in situational analysis and decision-making abilities in an environment with significant competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience giving equal conveyance to business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realisation and service delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Product Owner would be beneficial.
