Orthopaedic Specialist

As an Orthopaedic Specialist, you will take the lead in delivering top-tier clinical care to a diverse patient base, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will have the opportunity to guide a multidisciplinary team, mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative work environment. In addition to patient care, you will be actively involved in clinical governance, conducting peer review audits, and driving improvements in care processes. You'll participate in education and training, helping shape the next generation of medical professionals, and can even secure an academic title with the University of Queensland Rural Medical School. Your role will also include working on a weekend rotation, ensuring continuity of care and contributing to the overall success of the department.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $368,514 (L18) up to $460,349 (L27) comprising salary rates between $100.78 (L18) and $127.77 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
