We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team to ensure the upkeep and smooth operation of our six childcare centres across Sydney.
Key Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all facilities, equipment, and playgrounds are in excellent condition.
• Repairs: Handle minor repairs (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical) or coordinate with external contractors for specialised work.
• Compliance: Ensure facilities meet health, safety, and regulatory standards, including conducting regular checks on fire safety equipment and compliance signage.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening, rubbish removal, and ensuring play areas are clean and safe.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to centre operations.
• Documentation: Maintain logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inventory of tools and materials.
• Travel: Travel between centres as required to address maintenance needs efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably in a childcare, education, or similar environment.
• Skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence (e-tag and petrol allowance provided).
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
